Major General (res.) David Ivry has been President of Boeing Israel since September 2003. Before joining Boeing he served in many roles, including Ambassador of Israel to the United States, first director of the Israeli National Security Council, director-general of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Chairman of Israel Aircraft Industries, Israel Defense Forces deputy chief of staff, and the ninth commander of the Israel Air Force. From 1996-1999 he served as Principal Assistant to the Israeli Minister of Defense for Strategic Affairs. From 1992-1999 he served as head of the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Arms Control & Regional Security. From 1986-1999 he was Chief Israeli Representative to the Israel - U.S. Strategic Dialogue (JPMG). Maj. Gen. Ivry is a member of the Technion University Board of Governers, and serves on the Board of Directors of Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He serves as chairman of The Fisher Brothers Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies. From 1978-1982, he was a member of the Board of Directors, El Al Israeli Airlines. He earned a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering, Technion University, Haifa, and is a graduate of the IDF Command & Staff College. David Ivry was born in 1934. He is married and a father to 3 sons. |
